The moon was big and bright on Friday night. This shot was also taken by the Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot camera phone, in Twilight Landscape mode.
The Friday night moon reminded me of the song ‘Moon River,’ which I can sing along with anytime. Wouldn’t it be nice to talk a stroll in a moonlit night like this?
Moon River
Moon River, wider than a mile,
I’m crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you’re going I’m going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There’s such a lot of world to see.
We’re after the same rainbow’s end–
waiting ’round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.
“Moon River” is a song composed by Johnny Mercer (lyrics) and Henry Mancini (music) in 1961, for whom it won that year’s Academy Award for Best Original Song. It was originally sung in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Audrey Hepburn, although it has been covered by many other artists. The song also won the 1962 Grammy Award for Record of the Year. Silvers last blog post..LET ME LIVE IF I CAN’T DIE (2)
@ Mckhoii, thank you. Pardon me I do not exchange link at this blog for the moment. Will update you in future if I start a blogroll.
@ Silver, it is quite a common phone and pretty good one for taking photo. Nevertheless, a phone is still a phone and it has its limitations in photo-taking. 🙂
I will never forget this song since it’s my father’s favorite song.
@ Tj, I believe your father can sing this song beautifully too.
A very lovely and romantic song.

@ Duni, you are most welcome. 🙂
I love that movie. My sisters and I used to watch it all the time, when I was little, every time it came on tv. A few yrs ago, I bought it on video. The song is romantic, but I always thought a little sad too.
Sues last blog post..A Must Have Diaper Bag
@ Sue, I agree that the song sounds a bit romantic and it has a little sadness in it. It seemed to be a song of looking back at a particular fond memory.
Absolutely love this song mate! Oh…
@ Sher, good to be hearing from you again. Hope that everything going on great for you there. 🙂
I think I may watch the movie again this weekend, now that you suggested it 😉
