Steve Jobs ‘Here’s to the Crazy Ones’ 1997

‘Here’s to the Crazy Ones’ was the first Apple’s Think Different commercial created by TBWA\Chiat\Day. Clow and his teammates Ken Segall and Craig Tanimoto worked with Steve Jobs to create a tone poem that he liked.

According to Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs, Clow and Steve Jobs had wanted to get Robin Williams to read the narration but Jobs never got to speak to Robin Williams. In the end, they got Richard Dreyfuss, a dedicated Apple fan, to do the voice-over. Read more

If You want to be happy … look within

If you want to be happy

If You want to be happy … look within

As I focus on happiness in Symphony of Love’s Facebook page this weekend, this thought suddenly appeared in my mind, “If You want to be happy, look within.

I know it sounds simple … isn’t it? As Albert Einstein said, “Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.” If you want to be happy, look within; happiness cannot be simpler than that.

What I could say is that ‘Things are not what they appear to be always.’ It does seem true that people, situations, circumstances, and things, etc, contribute to our happiness and unhappiness. And yes they do, but only if we allow them to. Happiness really depends on ourselves and if we want to be happy, we do not have to look elsewhere or towards others for it, we just have to look within.

What makes you happy?

20oz baby up for dead ... but saved by mother's cuddle

This amazing story actually happened in 2007 but I only got to read it today from a friend’s sharing in Facebook. I asked her where did she get the story from so that I can credit the source. However, she told me she had no idea where she downloaded the story in her drunkard state. Anyway, a quick Google and I managed to find the original story posted at Mail Online. A newborn, thought to have little chance of survival, was saved by her mother’s cuddle. Read more

A day to remember the fallen Angels

A DAY TO REMEMBER THE FALLEN ANGELS

A day to remember the fallen Angels

A special day to pay tribute to all the brave souls who had given their lives while serving the country so that you and I can sleep peacefully at night. In fact, we should be thankful to them every single day of our lives. They will never be forgotten as they will always live in the hearts of the people they loved and protected so dearly.
