Quoting Robert Frost, “I am not a teacher, but an awakener.” I believe that as much as we may want to teach someone something or to simply impart knowledge, there is no way we can force it onto the person if he or she is unwilling to learn. What we can only hope to achieve is to kindle a flame from within the person for learning. The video beautiful illustrated the best gift we can give to children as a parent. What touched me deeply were the lines from the video, Read more

Practice, not talent, is the key to success

I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.

I believe that Einstein had been more than passionately curious as he said. In one of his other quotes, he humbly said, “It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.” According to Wikipedia, “Einstein published more than 300 scientific works and more than 150 non-scientific works.” It was no surprise that he was named ‘Person of the Century’ in 1999 Time magazine and his name is synonymous with genius. What do you think contributed to his phenomenal success? I personally feel that curiosity and a focus unwavering mind, coupled with a lot of hard work were the foundation to his success. Read more

Why you shouldn’t try to please all

WHY YOU SHOULDN’T TRY TO PLEASE ALL

Why you shouldn’t try to please all

Never try to please everyone, if you do, you will be respected by no one.

Yes, in the end you please no one and will be respected by none. One thing for sure, no matter what we do, there will always be someone criticizing us. Just do what you feel in your heart to be right. This is one powerful lesson which I believe we could all learn and pass it on. And what’s a better way of learning? Story, of course! I found it work for me wonderfully. Read more
